Student Support Services and Pastoral Care

The welfare of our pupils is of the highest priority at EISL.

Any individual pupil experiencing social, emotional or academic difficulty will be supported first and foremost by the class teacher (Primary School) or form tutor (Secondary).

As far as possible, teachers are responsible for differentiating the work set in classes in order that the needs of individual pupils are met. This might be to support pupils who are experiencing difficulties or indeed to extend those pupils who are capable of further challenge.

Our aim is to help pupils to experience success and to achieve their potential.

All pupils are expected to adhere to the school’s discipline policy. In order that each child can understand this, we have our school’s Golden Rules in every classroom for their reference. Discipline and respect should always start from within the individual and all pupils are encouraged to support one another in this area.
