The examination boards govern the curriculum. All students will study
towards obtaining the International General Certificate of Secondary Education
(IGCSE) which are recognised worldwide
Years Ten and Eleven - IGCSE Courses
All pupils will take the following core subjects to examination
level:
English
Mathematics
General Science or at least two of the following individual sciences:
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
History or Geography
Portuguese
Physical education is a compulsory and
timetabled non-examination subject for all pupils
Further examination subjects must be chosen from:
English Literature
ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
French
Music
Physical Education
Art
Business Studies
Each pupil will normally take a total of nine subjects at examination level
