Extra-curricular Activities

There are a wide variety of extra-curricular activities available for students at EISL, either after school or at lunchtime. The clubs on offer at the moment include Computer Club, Languages, Art Club, Dance Classes, Brownies and several Sports Clubs.

A full list of after school activities is made available at the beginning of the academic year Classes regularly take part in educational visits to support their studies, or towards the end of the year, as recreation. Older pupils are also given the opportunity to take part in extended visits, lasting over a number of days away from home.

EISL in the Community

Clean up in Almancil

It is important to us at EISL to participate in local activities and to integrate as much as possible within our community.

Environmental projects, cultural events, sports competitions and fund-raising work both for local and international charities, all form part of our school calendar.

Raising Funds for the School

There is an active group of parents who organise events throughout the year with the aim of raising funds for the school itself.  New parents are always welcome to get involved and to bring along new and exciting ideas.  The main event of the year is the family barbecue towards the end of June.  Recently, this has not only provided the opportunity to raise the profile of our school in the community but has also given parents, pupils and teachers the opportunity to enjoy a social occasion together at the end of the academic year.

The Future

The majority of fund-raising for the school is aimed at making immediate improvements to current conditions (i.e. installation of air-conditioning units) but also goes towards the new school building project which will soon be underway.
