Key Stage Three Sports Day
By Keanu Griffin
Year Eight
On Wednesday 13th June, all of Middle school and Year 10 went to the Almancil football field. The weather was lovely and sunny and so it was a perfect day for some competitive racing. We arrived at about the football field at about 8:45 but obviously there were some people who were a little bit late.
We sat in our groups and waited until we were called to race. There were a lot of different events taking place. There were the 100, 200 and 400 metre races, ball throw, three-legged race and many more. It was a very fun event that was much enjoyed by many of the pupils. The parents were invited and quite a few showed up.
When all the races had taken place, we all collected our bags in an orderly way and made our way back to school with our form tutors. Luckily, our bags were being brought to back school by car because otherwise the load would have been unbearable.
While we were walking back to school, we found a quicker road that took us to the back of the school instead of the front. I would like to thank, on behalf of the school, Mrs. Stevens and Senhor Paulo for taking the trouble of organising this event for all of us. I hope we can continue having sports days every year.
