EISL Band Performs at Vale Verde School

By Katy Jones and Florence Trodd
Year Eight

On the 23rd of May, the EISL band went to Vale Verde International School, in Luz. The school is run by Mr. Foreman, who started the EISL band when it first began. We thought our school was small, but VVIS has around 40 pupils! ”

We set off from school at quarter past twelve, and arrived at VVIS about an hour and a quarter later. Then, we began to set up music stands and instruments. About an hour later, we began the concert.

We played our new pieces, such as Angela and Monday, Monday and finished with the ABBA Medley. Lizzie, Nichola and Natalie from Year 9 sang Memory, Georgina from Year 6 sang Colours of the Wind, and Nicola from Year 7 sang Let it be me.

We arrived back at school at half past four, after Ed’s noisy singing on the bus, and the bus crashing into the basketball hoop.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was definitely a trip worth remembering.
