The eClub Strikes Again

Following a suggestion by Ellie Crouch, the e-(“environmental”) club joined forces with her to set up a lunch time stall selling goods donated by staff and pupils. Year Four all made decorated pots supplied by Ellie and Ellie’s mum filled them with beautiful flowers. They all sold out in one day! Ellie and the e-club also baked delicious cakes.

The team worked very hard ticketing, selling, unpacking, packing up and finally counting the money. In the end they raised over €300 to go towards the purchase of a projector for the orphanage in Olhão, “Nossa Senhora de Fátima”, so that the children can all watch TV at the same time. They have also donated €24 to the UN Environment Day fund. On 22nd July Year Four will be doing a sponsored swim to raise even more money for this worthy cause.
