ECIS Awards

I am delighted to announce that two members of our school community will receive awards from the European Council of International Schools. Amy Packham (Year 13) will receive the ECIS Award for International Understanding. This is awarded to a student who is a good representative of their own country, with a positive attitude toward the life and culture of others, able to converse in at least two languages, a contributing force in the life of the school, with the ability to bring differing people together into a sense of community, thus furthering the cause of international understanding.
Brigitta Flückiger will receive the ECIS Award for the Promotion of International Education. This award can be given to an adult member of a school community who has helped to promote and enhance international education and foster a positive rapport and understanding between and among the culturally diverse students, staff and parents. Brigitta fits this description perfectly.
