Bottle Tops for Charity
The São Lourenço students have been collecting plastic water bottle tops over the past two school years.
According to Mrs. Tilson, Year Six teacher, the bottle tops are sold to a recycling company and the money donated to Faro Hospital paediatric ward, which then helps to buy electric wheelchairs and other needed equipment for children.
“This is a nice way to help give them more independence and greater manoeuvrability,” Mrs. Tilson said.
How can you help? Save your plastic bottle tops and give them to Mrs. Tilson or Professora Margarida in the Language Department.
