Band Prepares for New Year
With all the activity around the school this term, you may be asking yourself, “Where is the band?” Or for those who have seen the band perform in the past, you may be thinking, “I want my EISL Band!” Never fear, because Mr. Paul Savage and the band have been working hard and rehearsing some new favourites every Thursday after school. Plans for the coming Spring Term include a school concert around Carnival time and another concert in Lisbon, kindly sponsored by the Dulieu family (Becky is now studying Music and French at Royal Holloway, UK).
Changes in the band this year include the addition of some old and new faces, as well as an expanded percussion section. The band has new equipment, including new keyboards, and more improvements planned thanks to some successful fundraising efforts.Mr. Savage and many of the band members have also been working hard for the Senior School and Middle School productions. So we can expect great things from the band in 2006.
