Stop please! The São Lourenço Express is now parked in the Pre-school playground.

During half term when all the toddlers and young children were
enjoying their holidays, builders were working very hard to
prepare a whole new area for them. The area next to pre-school's
classroom used to be just uneven ground. This has been converted
into a new, levelled out, sanded over play area and the main
attraction is a brightly coloured wooden train.
With a traction engine and 2 passenger
carriages it is big enough for all the youngsters to play on. The
cost of this new attraction has been partly paid for by the
parents of Pre-school who held a golf tournament to raise money
for it. The difference was raised in this weekend's fair. It was
held at school last Saturday and included stalls, bric a brac
tombola, lucky dip, a bouncy castle and lots of fun!
It was all worth it though
as the first thing that that the children did on Monday morning
back this half term was to run straight to the train instead of
filing into class. As you can see, they love it!
