Newsletter April 2007

Dear Parents,
Dear Parents, I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter Break.  This is a short newsletter as we are nearly at the end of the month already. There are one or two things to be aware of, so I would ask you to read this.
Kind Regards

A plea to parents of children in Pre-school to Year Two

Could I please remind you that, when you collect your children, other year groups are still working.  Teachers would appreciate your cooperation in keeping the noise levels down as you pass through the school grounds with your child/children.

Portuguese language initiatives in Key Stage One and Foundation Levels

D. Claudia’s return from maternity leave has enabled us to expand on the lessons and activities which were taking place in the classes and to introduce more spoken Portuguese and interaction in the language.
Extra-curricular lessons for fluent Portuguese speaking children have also been introduced, using a language programme which is followed in Portuguese schools.
Since Easter, Year One and Two classes have been split into two groups taught by D. Claudia and D. Carla for Portuguese.

Water Aid

A big thank-you for supporting this worthy cause. So far we have raised approximately € 1159. Please remember we are still collecting change until June!
